TripTracker Beta

Dear iambic,

In trying to check the status of TripTracker, all I found were years of forum threads, now closed, with a recent promise that release is very near. I was surprised, then, to find this beta forum with no mention of a TripTracker beta.

If it does exist, may I please be added to the beta team?

Hi Magic Speller,

No beta yet. It has been a very long wait. They have had challenges with Device Center in Vista getting the sync to work properly. If you subscribe to this forum you will then have first hand, any announcements. Also, please subscribe to the News and Announcements Forum (http://support.iambic.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=2). We offer public beta testing so you will be welcome to test once a beta arises. Thanks for the offer.

- Special Notes

Owners of the discontinued version 3 of TripTracker will be notified via e-mail within the next few days with information on how to obtain their free upgrade to version 4.

The version for Windows Mobile Smartphone (and WM6 Std) is currently being worked on, and will be released in the coming weeks.

The application is currently available for download and purchase at www.iambic.com and we are in the process of listing it through our distribution partners' mobile and desktop software portals.

Unfortunately, when I try to create a new trip, I'm told "Trial over". So until I receive upgrade instructions, I guess I'm out of luck. I'm on "vacation" now (that's another story...), so I was hopeful I might be able to get the last leg of the trip entered, but no such luck.

By the way, this is happening in the desktop application. I haven't had a chance to install to my PPC.

I assume you are using Vista and have the User Account Control on, correct? If so this is why it appears that your Trial is over. Please request a free demo code (http://www.iambic.com/support/requestdemo.asp?pid={29A9971A-766F-4A68-AC86-DFBFDE312DD0}), and once you receive it via email you can enter it.

BTW, no fault of yours. Blame it on me posting the update here. I just wanted to make sure you didn't miss it. :p
