As mentioned in another thread, I have had sync issues between the PPC and desktop versions of the new TT. This morning I discovered another wrinkle.
I had been running the PPC version in demo mode since I had not yet received the activation code. When the desktop version of TT was not installed, ActiveSync worked normally for everthing (except, of course, TT data was not sync'ed between the two devices). This morning I received the activation code for the PPC version of TT. After entering the code, AS hung, just as described in the other thread.
I tried removing TT from the PPC, deleting the .dat file and doing a soft reset. AS worked normally after that. I reinstalled TT on the PPC and tried AS. It hung again. I removed it again, deleted the .dat file, did another soft reset and AS worked normally. The desktop version is not installed on this PC.
I am using Windows XP Pro with all updates and AS 4.2. My PPC is an iPAQ hx2790b running WM5.
Until this is fixed, TT is not a usable product.
