I have my PPC v4 activation code which is made up of 4 5-character sets. The last 5 characters are my device ID. To enter the code, I follow this path on my PPC:

Menu/About TripTracker. . . /Menu(again)/Enter Code

On this screen are 4 fields: 3 5-byte fields and 1 10-byte field. None of them are labeled. Since my device ID shows up correctly at the top of the screen I'm only entering the first 3 sets of 5 characters of my activation code.

But what goes in the 10-byte field?

the last box (the longer one) is for the last section of your activation code. Yes I know its the same as your Device ID but type it in anyway and don't worry about the length of the field. It worked for me.

Hope this helps

the same field (last one in the enter code dialog) is used also for lengther codes (such as trial codes). As long as you enter the code that has been sent you in the same way it's shown in the email message / webpage you should be all set :)
