Version 4 not installing on my WMD5.0

Folks,

I thought this update was supposed to fix the limitation of version 3 not installation on newer Windows Mobile devices? I have verison 5.0 (not the newest WMD) and TripTracker will not install. I have a HTC mobile.

I had a very smooth upgrade process on my Vista machines, all my data was retrained and all but can't get the client to work on my Windows Mobile Device. Am I missing something?

Hi JP,
This is the fist we've heard of an installation problem. Did you try both installing via the PC using the .exe and also using the .cab (after placing on your memory card) to install from the device?

Thanks...here's an attached screenshot I get with Windows Vista if I use the triptracker_ppc_en.exe file. Vista doesnt' have ActiveSync.

As for the triptracker_ppc_en.cab file, it tries to install and shows: Installation of triptracker_ppc_en.cab was unsuccessful.

Now as an aside, would it matter if my phone has English but from the UK? Do you limit by certain languages?

Here are the version numbers on my device:

Thanks for the screenshot. This is strange. Can you tell exactly the HTC model you have?

It is the S620 model.

Ah. That device is a Smartphone (non-touchscreen). We have not completed development of TT for this version of Windows Mobile.

We are currently working on a TripTracker for WM Smartphone. Currently we on have it for WM PPC devices/phones, which have a touchscreen.
