I am trialing Health & Diet Manager. Although it has many features which I want, it appears to be missing some extremely basic features.:weird: The trial appears very complete, so I don't want to go on and purchase if the program does not fully suit my needs. So I would appreciate any feedback on this software by purchasers that I can obtain:

1 When I manually input a new food, but a common food I eat it does not appear to be saved for the next use. Can you not build your own food databse with this program?
2 The inputed new foods cannot be saved to your favorite list . . . again, is this a grave oversight?
3 Although you can track exercise, the exercise seems to be geared to high "normal" levels. At 3 1/2 months post hip replacement, 3 mph on a treadmill is not possible . . . is there no way to input other standard levels of exercise and times? And is there no way to save these?
4 It seems some very basic health principles have been overlooked. For example, is there a place to track your daily water intake? Or the breakdown of your intake: e.g., diary, vegetable, etc.
5 Is there a no way to set a daily intake goal for calories or points? It would be nice to see if you are going over.
6 Is there no way to add other choices on the restaurant menus and save these? For example, salad choices?

Although the program looks very good, it appears to fall a bit short. If these have been left off, I wonder if anyone is tracking this program well enough to make improvements?

Thanks

OK, I haven't had the PalmOne Treo 650 for sometime. I am using a HTC Hermes/Cingular 8525.

Hello Vickie,
I want to first apologize that no one replied to you. You have some great points here. I have captured them in our Feature List for H&D. We'll have a look at them soon.

Thanks for giving it a spin. I hope you continue to use it.

Recently, today, joined this forum and saw your questions. I also see that you have found most of the answers.

I have used this program on an Dell Axim X30 and my desktop PC. When I use it, I lose weight. When I don't keep track, I gain weight. I use a Weight Watchers plan. In the past 35 years, I have gained and lost several thousand pounds.

If I can help don't hesitate to ask, even on this forum. I see that IAMBIC is monitoring it and that is a good thing. I highly recommend it.
