Hi,
quick heads up here to all the TripTracker fans out there ;) which happen to have a WM Smartphone and are unhappy because TripTracker is currently available for WM PPC only.
We are a couple of weeks away from releasing the smartphone edition of TripTracker (version number will be 4.1).
Along with the Smartphone edition, the windows desktop as well as the ppc edition will be released, all with version 4.1, and will contain fixes and refinements following the feedback collected so far through this forum as well as via our support center.
If you wish to get notified upon availability please subscribe to this thread -- or chime in a quick post to this thread. We'll follow-up here when the smartphone edition is out.

Adriano,
It's good the hear that an update is only a couple of weeks away, but given all the bugs that were in the 4.0 release, are you planning to release a beta test version of 4.1 beta prior to the production release?
Regards,
Paul

Hi Paul,
we might run a short beta -- still thinking about it. And in regards to "all the bugs that were in the 4.0 release", we are aware of perhaps 7 or 8 in total... considering that it was a brand new major version with completely new storage management system, I do consider 4.0 as a pretty good release. Then again, that might just be me being over-optimistic as usual :)

Adriano,
Many thanks for your reply.
However, while I accept that this was a brand new release, I think it is pretty poor to release a product where some of the advertised functions simply don't work - I therefore consider your view may may tinged with developer's optimism! Hopefully 4.1 will resolve all these issues?
Regards,
Paul

what feature(s) are you referring to? I'll double check it's in the list of upcoming fixes.

You advertise as being able to export expenses to Excel. This function simply does not work because the export file is not properly formatted as a csv file
The user manual also details the process for importing data from 3.9.2 databases. This function does not work properly because much of the imported data is lost.

Following up here that TripTracker for Windows Mobile Smartphone has been released (http://www.iampowered.com/archives/2008/06/26/triptracker_version_41_has_bee.php). Additionally, the export issue has been fixed. There is still a small issue with formatting the cells properly, but the export is definitely usable. This will be addressed soon.

Did you really not know what WM6 meant?I know that WM6 means Windows Mobile version 6. You question though, "Any updates available on the WM6 version?" confuses me. The TripTracker for WM Smartphone is compatible with both WM5 and WM6, and was just released.
