View Full Version : Build 113 - menu key lock-up

Hi,
I installed build 113 seemingly successfully (after removing previous version). After setting up my Today View (which looks terrific by the way), my Menu key locks up. If I select an event I am able to edit, but otherwise, the Menu key becomes non-responsive.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Avril

Can you guys share a little more detail on the menu locking up?
- Does it happen in any of the slots?
- Where is focus when it happens (on a slot header or on an appt., etc.)

Thanks for responding Michael.
Currently, I have Today View set up. If I select an event with the trackball, and wish to edit it, I am able to do so, and click OK via the Menu button. However, in Today View, should I wish to have Week View, Monthly, etc, the Menu button is unresponsive. For me, this happens no matter what is highlighted, whether it is the current date or an event.
I hope this is helpful to you.
Thanks,
Avril

My menu key isn't working either. In Today view, if I press it, nothing happens at all. It doesn't lock up, but it doesn't bring up the menu either.
I'm on a BB curve running 4.5.

Just installed Agendus for Blackberry on my Verizon Wireless 8330 Curve. I'm running the latest Beta version, as I just downloaded the beta from the website today.
My menu button was working fine until I tried to change the date of a task. At the time I had no tasks due today, and then I changed the due date of a task from Due tomorrow to Due today. The problem is, when I changed the due date, I didn't do with Agendus. By force of habit, I opened up the task to edit it with the native Blackberry application. When I opened up
Agendus, I noticed the task was there on the Today View, but when I tried to use the menu to change the view options, I noticed that it wouldn't work anymore. It doesn't matter the focus or the highlighted item. I changed the due date back to tomorrow, but menu button still doesn't work. I tried a soft reset, and it still doesn't work.

Hi guys,
We've yet to reproduce these problems with the menu in any OS version. Please stand by while we investigate.

Hello guys,
A little follow up here. It might be help if we could have a screen shot or two of your view and the specific slot in which it occurs, just before this happens. You can mask your private data in an image editor, but be sure not to restrict the visibility of how many records are present.
If you don't have a screenshot app already, see the link in my signature.

It happened to me also. The menu key on the BB device was working. I was changing the options for the Today screen, unchecked the mail checkbox (wasn't showing any unread mail anyways), and the new configuration for the Today screen took effect.
Since that change, the menu key on the BB itself is no longer operating in B113.

Other than removing some of the today view slots, have any of you rearranged them? If so, what is the enw order?

No, I didn't rearrange them - just removed everything but calendar, tasks, and weather.

Ditto here. I simply removed everything but tasks, calendar and weather on my today screen.

Wow, it's amazing you all did the same. Unfortunately I've tried and still cannot reproduce. I will continue investigating.

I'm not sure if the no menu button started after I removed the modules or after I changed some dates of tasks (like someone had suggested earlier). Could be either/both.

All I removed from the Today View was "Messages". Hope this helps.

I got the menu key working but it only occurred after I upgraded the OS on my device. I now have a default installation but will leave configuring the Today Screen alone for now.
