View Full Version : Cannot install the agendus beta for blackberry

Hi,
I have a blackberry curve 8310, with O2 here in England. I have purchased the agendus beta edition for blackberry. I have downloaded the zip file and extracted the files on my computer. However when I try add the .alx file on the application loader I get an error of: "no additional applications designed for your device were found". I have the blackberry desktop manager version 4.2, which unfortunately is the most up-to-date I can have with O2 here in England until September. However I have checked and this should not be a problem. Could you help me to install agendus on my blackberry as I was a palm user before and really miss it.

After several attempts and resets I have managed to install the agendus by emailing it directly to the blacberry. However I cannot access contact view or add contacts to my appointments and get a Java error. I also cannot retrieve quotes, history or whether I get error retrieving data. On the positive side new appointments are sinching properly with outlook 2007. Also I am new to blacberry and on the instruction manual it advises to remove the battery to reset is there any other way which isn't so extreme to reset it?
I appreaciate any help or advise on both problems.

have you tried going into browse for the file. The first trick is to remember where you saved the agendus download after you extracted it. then open the application loader. Click add at the top and browse for the agendus.alx file. If you have already done this and it gives you the error make sure you scroll through the whole list to make sure agendus is not already listed.

I too cannot install the Agendus for Blackberry. I have tried build 113 and 115 numerous times with same result - Icon appears, but when I click on it my phone locks ups and I have to do a hard reset in order to get it to work again. As long as I do not click on Agendus icon every thing is fine. I cannot open it to insert my purchase code or see any screens. I get no error messages during install from my laptop.
I am using AT&T Curve 8310 w/ desktop manager and 4.3 OS

Hi hashga,
The issue you are having is not "installing" but rather launching. We are still investigating this.
