Build 129 Not Quite Ready For Me To Buy

So I was excited when I read the news yesterday that Agendus was released for the Blackberry, so naturally I wanted to check it out.

I have a Blackberry Curve 8320 running OS version 4.5.0.52.

Some of the issues have already been posted by others, but here are the ones I've ran into....

1. I can only see a single task, in the main window, even though I have several tasks in the Tasks app.

2. For some reason, Agendus is unable to find my calendar entries. No matter which view I'm using, I'm seeing "empty" when there should have been entries listed. Even the day view has no entries.

3. In the Email section, it would be good to control how many headers I can view rather than just the three I'm able to view. But the real problem here is that when I choose a message, I can see the header section and the subject, but the body itself doesn't appear.

4. When I changed the city or use the zip code in the Weather section, it was completely ignored when I attempted to save the info.

The inability not to access the calendar alone is crippling, and it should be relegated to beta as opposed to a limited-time trial version. I'm afraid that the trial version will expire before the issues are fixed, and at that point I will just move on without purchasing the product. It would be good if the maintenance release also helps to extend the trial version so that I can fairly evaluate it to make sure the both the basic features work and that I can be sure that it's the right app for me.

We are aware of a display issue with Past Due Tasks, but for current/future tasks, do you have some due within the next 7 days? The Today View task slot shows the number of tasks defined in Prefs > Today View > Max number to show, and also only for items past due or in the next 7 days.

2. For some reason, Agendus is unable to find my calendar entries. No matter which view I'm using, I'm seeing "empty" when there should have been entries listed. Even the day view has no entries.This is very bizarre. Do you sync with a desktop or online client? If so, what? If you manually create a new appt on the device do you see it?

You can control this at Prefs > Today View > Maxi items to show. Regarding the missing bodies. We are aware of this happening for some HTML or multi-part messages and plan to address it in a future update.

We had a beta period of over a month and no one mentioned not being able to see their appts. Furthermore, we're not able to reproduce this.

So I went ahead and bought the software, but needed to put off dealing with the software for awhile because I became busy.

Tonight, I finally got around to dealing with the issues. Well miraculously, everything seems to have cleared up.

1. More than one task is now appearing.

2. The calendar issue was a function of some anomaly caused by something else. Turns out that the calendar entries on the home screen wasn't displaying, either. I've fixed it now.

3. Thanks for the tip on setting the number of entries. Also, the email body is displaying properly.

4. Even though I have saved my zip and Sunnyvale kept displaying, looking at it tonight I've found that my city is now displayed properly.

One of the things I think might have contributed to the issues was that my memory on my BB was low, to the point where eventually I'm out of free space. Since then, I've cleaned up my device and freed up memory. I think that, in some way, might have made a difference.

Anyway, thanks for the product. Looking forward to making use of it.
