I starated using the Health and Diet Manager in January. All in all it does the job, but Iambic should be giving this piece of novice software away for free. I cannot see how they can charge even a dime for it. to wit:

Categories of food are not catagories
Delete a category you delete all the food in it
no scaling on the graphs
no display of total calories consumed for the day
Blood Pressure is not treated as two number but as a string
sync is a very iffy, Support says re-install if you get errors
favorite food drop down does not sort to alpha order
hitting return in the food search field closes the dialog, not doing the search
very high school student coder feel to the whole application
just about useless to use on the hand held

I hope Iambic takes this as constructive criticism and produces a release soon to correct these glaring errors.

Oh, and the new release should not make us wipe out our accumulated data.

Thank you for the suggestions.

My experience with this full featured demo product is similar. My main gripe is that I get the windows error dialog way too often. The catastrophic errors happen 40%-50% of the time I attempt to enter a log entry or meal info. Catastrophic errors for viewing the graphs is slightly less. Error rate is way too high for an official release. Has the feel of a prototype rushed to release.

Have you submitted a help ticket for Support? There must be a reason for that, cause it's not something we've heard much about.

Fair enough, I haven't log a support ticket and that should have been my first route. After receiving your response that you haven't received other complaints about the many windows error dialogs, I thought through what I may be doing differently that most people. My first guess is I've installed the executive on my SD card. I've reinstalled the program to my main memory and will see if that takes care of the problem. Thank you for your quick (and polite) response.

Let me know if that does the trick. (Cause it sounds like a good idea to me!)

just a note here -- last week we released version 3.01 which addresses a number of issues and has some storm specific improvement. Might not solve everything reported in these threads, but definitely worth upgrading.
