I have to admit, I am surprised that Iambic released this product without a calendar. The heart of Agendus is it's calendar functionality. I understand that Apple will not release a API that would allow you to gain access to the calendar. I purchased the product anyway with hopes it would have a calendar soon. But after reading comments from an executives at Iambic in regards to the most recent SDK developers release, it looks like we will be waiting a very long time. Let's hope that when Iambic does gain access to the calendar that the update will be free to people who downloaded this version.

Hello All!
I have been contacting sales, as well as attempting to get a few questions into technical support, about whether Agendus for the iPhone would be released. All of the sales messages said there was no infromation available and didn't even bother to mention that this forum existed. I did get one message through to technical support to attempt to reach someone who has helped me a lot over the years. I found out that he had left, but was told that the iPhone version was in the pipeline, but that rep didn't know the status.
It would have been nice that I wasn't the only person waning waiting to get Agendus for the iPhone so that I could eventually get rid of my Palm T|X (which is on this earth only to run my copy of Agendus). I'm glad it's finally out and I'm sure we'll see a good bit of development, even on the calendar issue. I think if Apple's stance is to block outside use of their calendar app, an internal version would work for me in my situation. I don't sync my calendar to an outside source and all of my calendar activity is inside of Agendus. I won't even use the Outlook version of Agendus for Windows because of HUGE problems early on with it corrupting my data. I just use Agendus for Windows (Palm Version) to allow me to view/edit data on my PC.
I'm looking forward to some quick development!
Here we go...
Best to all,
Jim

Jim,
thanks for the feedback -- odd that Sales told you there was no info out there. Since a while we are pointing everyone wishing to get updates on our iphone titles to subscribe to a specific mailing list we got going:

I will stand corrected. In the last e-mail I sent, I was directed to that e-mail list. But, the big thing was that suggesting that this area in the forums existed for iPhone users made me think that I was the only one wanting Agendus for my shiny, now not so brand-new iPhone 3G. I'm not trying to put the blame on you in any way. It was just weird that no whisper of the iPhone version's existence came from anyone, when this forum made it obviously clear it's been in the works for since the release of the 3G (when people like me started e-mailing in).
I am drooling a little over a 3Gs myself, but can't justify the cost until the apps really take advantage of it. We have two 3G iPhones in the house, along with two Palm OS devices (both running Agendus - one Pro, one Premier). I'm going to wait until next year's release because first, it will probably be more significant and also my contract will be up. It'll just make things easier. But, I'd be careful about signing a two-year contract with AT&T if you're new to them to get one because the missing MMS and tethering really makes me wonder if they'll hold on to exclusivity past the end of this year. I think their contract ends at the end of 2009 and is, of course, being negotiated. Apple jabbed them a bunch at their WWDC keynote, which can't mean that thinks are just fine between the two. Just my two cents...
Thanks a bunch for all of your comments. I am about to throw a few things out there that may or may not be new.

here 10 ways to help you justify the cost: http://tr.im/omrr
Myself I already made up my mind... will get it as soon as I can walk-in-walk-out an AT&T store without having to stay in line. Although I fear it's going to be a good $600 drop

What it ends up costing you depends on a bit of luck. I bought a 3G (at an AT&T store by putting in a fulfillment order, which I got the Wednesday after standing in the darn line for 2 hours). When my wife wanted hers in December, I switched my individual plan to a Family Plan and added her. The funny thing is that she ported her GoPhone number over to the iPhone and she is now eligible for the cheapest prices $199/$299, if we'd get a 3Gs. Their computer thinks that the date the GoPhone number was started is the date they should use for figuring out who's eligible for upgrades.
At the WWDC keynote, they didn't even mention AT&T in the release plans, so I wouldn't expect AT&T stores getting many, if any, phones in quick fashion. Since they have integrated AT&T's system with Apple's on-line store and physical stores, they have no reason to really give the AT&T stores priority. You'll do better at an Apple Store for sure. Pre-orders (to get you a phone on 6/19) have sold out at both Apple Stores and AT&T, so it'll be a free for all after that. Standing in line at an AT&T or Apple Store without a pre-order will get you nothing that you couldn't do on-line, which is place an order for one (according to Engadget). Good luck in any case.
I still am concerned that AT&T is going to have their exclusivity dropped at the end of the year, which could mean that rates will go down (and other opportunities will arise). I don't really like or dislike any cell company, other than the rediculous rates they charge, but I don't want to lock in to another 2-year chain and then have better rates available at the end of the year.
I can definitely understand your lust. I'd love one, but the 3G is good enough until at least next year's phone comes out, which should be a bigger upgrade (or if it isn't really big, it'll be a bigger jump from 3G to whatever it is). If something incredible is released, I do have an option available thanks to AT&T's screw-up.
Good luck and have a great weekend!

Sulley -- thanks for the tips. I was thinking of going in a store just to see if I was able to get a better deal on the plan / upgrade / phone to bring down the cost a bit. I did try online first thing and that's where I had the unpleasant $500 (+tax) surprise :)
