View Full Version : A Few Suggestions...

Even though you can't just copy the iPhone Calendar app, you can come up with all the views you want for the data in Agendus. Here are some suggestions for views that are necessary (some are a little vague, but you'll know where I'm going):

Multiple views as there are in the PalmOS versions, such as different format daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly.
Take advantage of the landscape-view switching to trigger when you change from one view format to another (you could have a default view for each position).
Taking advantage of the ability to switch to landscape view in order to use the landscape keyboard for entering notes, especially.
The ability to filter view data based on certain criteria, e.g. high priority, specific categories, etc., in the multiple views (not just in the complete list the way it is now).
With this, you'll need to be able to specify which day is the start of the week (either Sunday or Monday).
Making a task available with a day, but not a specific time (right now you get either a day and a time or neither).
When adding a contact to a task, have it search the Contact list and do an alphabetic elemination (so you don't have to pull up the whole contact list when you know who you want), like on the PalmOS version.
Have an option to only show certain task fields, e.g. exclude the priority, status, etc.
When repeats are set up, show when the next occurrence will be so that you know you have it set up correctly.
Implement some icons that would work well for the most common situations (to at least cover us for a while until more time can be spent on it) to allow some way to easily distinguish between categories or activities.
Expand the repeat options, to include every x days.
Allow an item to roll-over from one day to the next if it is not completed, as the option exists in the PalmOS edition now.
The icon in the upper left of the Today View doesn't make sense (I keep looking at it and pressing it over and over every time I run the program because I forget). Those settings should be part of the Preferences.
Allow the badge that displays on the home page be user definable as to what it includes, whether it's past due and due today, high priority due today, etc. I know you'll have better options with this once 3.0 rolls out with the push option.
I expect these all to be done, submitted to Apple, and posted on the App Store by Monday. Yeah, right. I'm really kidding (and possibly psychotic!). :weird:

I hope these will help add to the list of things to do ASAP (and a few to be done as other features get implemented).

It's good to be using a program that uses the terminology that I have been working with for many years. The other PIMs have their own vocabulary for things and it's just hard to understand what they mean sometimes. Oh, it's good to be home in Agendus. Keep up the good work!

Thanks!

These are just the kind of specific suggestions we need. Thanks! :)

(Now if only Apple will help us all out here....)
