Hello All!

I just saw quickly, when I was able to get on the darn App Store, a couple of apps which seemed to have calendaring in them. The one I saw which had the most scheduling features was an app called Salesforce Mobile. Another app, which did have some of those types of features, was Omnifocus.

I didn't look at either of them for very long, and didn't go to the developer's websites, but I figured the iambic folks might be interested in especially Salesforce Mobile for ideas on how to implement calendaring, with a lack of API support from Apple. Just thought I might pass on the information...

BTW, congrats on the submission of v1.01 to the App Store. I'll be waiting for it gladly. Let's hope this is the first of many, quickly added updates over the next few months and years! Keep it up!

All of the calendering apps currently in the app store use a 2nd calendar database. Iambic is trying to avoid the duplication.

I understand that iambic is trying not to create a second calendaring database. However, with Apple currently not providing APIs to their iPhone Calendar app, nor any access to their data, it's going to be impossible to do as it stands. Apple isn't known for making long-term strategies known to the public in advance, either. They also have their MobileMe strategies to keep in mind as well, which makes them even less likely to ever open up their calendar data.

I was just suggesting a couple of apps that I had run across, espeically Salesforce Mobile, that has scheduling that might be source of brainstorming ideas for the development team. IMHO, if there is no scheduling integrated into Agendus, it's dead in the water. There are already some decent task managers (without scheduling) available and I don't think Agendus will be able to stand out.

For me personally, unless there is way to someway put in meetings/appointments, that's a dealbreaker for me actually using AGiPH, even though I already bought it. I think a lot of people who use Agendus on other platforms have the same feeling about making the switch to iPhone. I really hope that iambic will be making their decision about this issue soon, so I know if they are just going wait on Apple to open up their calendar data. That way I know if I'll ever be switching to AGiPH. I want to, but it's got to have a way to do some simple appointment scheduling (and it doesn't have to be that complex).

Like I said, it's a critical issue and if I see something that might help lead to a workable solution, I'll pass it along.
