Hi,
Maybe I'm just a looking-to-far-into-the-future-guy but...
Did you already think about version management on the iPhone? Because as far as I understand the app system on the iPhone, different apps cannot share data, with exception of the built in databases.
That means if you bring out a major update (which you may want to charge), how can we keep our data and settings?
Is it possible to overwrite a app, even when it's a new update which is charged seperatly in the AppStore?
e.g. I have Agendus 1.0 installed on my iPhone, I synced all data from google and made a bunch of custom settings. Now you bring out 1.01 and 1.02 and i can just download them and overwrite the 1.0 version without problems.
Now after several smaller updates you decide to bring out Agendus 2.0 and you want to charge for the big update. Does this have to be a "new" app in terms of the AppStore? And if yes, will all preferenca data be lost when switching to that new version?
