Contact History Shouldn't Be Tied To Actual Meetings/ToDos/Calls

I would be useful if you could configure the Contact History to be a list of records that weren't tied to the actual events that created them. That way you could "purge" old items, and the contact history (which might be some sort of summary of the actual items) would remain.
