How i had dial and sms working on my clie and gsm !

I have : sj30 + ms bt + t68i

up to now funbundle was the best solution i'd for dialing and sms, but with help form some people on cliesource i could set the dial option to work in agendus and can now send sms - and nearly get them from the phone..-

How i've procedeed

I've installed phone files for palm os 4.1 which can be found on the web - don't think it's freeware actually.. - then i grabbed my gsm drivers from palm os - http://www.palm.com/support/accessories/sms.html - and installed everything on the clie

The phone files added the phone menu in prefs where u can choose you gsm connection mode and also new entries in connections ; regarding your gsm, the available connections mode will be directly created by your phone'driver - in my case bluetooth, serial and IR -

It also installed a full working sms software from palm, and now in agendus i can dial from book and also send sms !!

i haven't succeeded in getting them from the phone to the clie even if regarding at the send and retrives log everything went well...

please iambic guys, could you have a look on this issue ? the sms soft i had with my package works very well..you seem to use the same interface it does but don't get the sms...

I wish Iambic would talk to Palm and licence / distribute the relevant libraries. It's a real downer not being able to SMS and Dial from the one app

I have grabbed the Palm SMS libraries (and phone connection) are available from

I am not sure where to find the phone files at the palm web I have look around but the search engine is not vey good. It seams that I have to by palm 4.1 and do not want to do that

I have NR70V and Nokia 6310i and Bluetooth headset.

Genous - follow the links in the post above yours... that's where I got my copy of phone.zip

Then I went to the Palm link and got (for me) the 8210 driver. You'll want the 6310...

I have install the Phone zip and the driver formy phon and still the option "phone" in the preferences menu does not appear.

Any idea?

u need to install all files and also a reset may be helpfull

You are only able to receive the sms messages from your phone IF your message are stored on the SIM on the phone. Some phones do save on the SIM but a lot like the T68i don't. You would have to save to the SIM on the phone and then the sms app will pick it up. However, that sort of negates the ability to quickly pick up sms's on the PDA without touching the phone.

This has been put forward to Iambic to have a look at ... but as of yet, no reply.
