I have tried to set wallpaper for the today view without any luck.

I know that on my SJ30 I can only use GIFs (grrrrr) - and I know that dragging and dropping a GIF into the hotsync will automatically move the image into my memory card within 'Palm/images' - and I know that in Agendus you go to 'options/prefs/wallpaper' the source your file.

But it simply doesnt work.

I have tried -
320x320 images / 160x160 images
8 colours / 16 colours / 256 colours
interlaced / non interlaced
transparency / no transparency
web colour / not web colours
diffusion / no diffusion

and none of them show up.

This could be a clincher as to whither I part with my cash.
Does anyone know how to do this?

Thanks

Dave

I can't get the wallpaper to work on my Sony NR70V as well. :(

I have played with all the possible ways (gif / jpeg format + resolution, etc.) but still no luck.

Do anyone out there come across the same problem??

I hope someone can get me some advice.

The same happen to me too!
Like blackmaster I'm using m505, same Version (6.01, build 281),

Agendus reports the same Message

(CANNOT PROCESS THE FILE:
/DCIM/mypic.GIF
MEMORY FULL OR DATA IS INSUPPORTED OR CORRUPTED.) Just in german.

Could anyone check this (bug) out?

Thanks, Magic D

This seems to be a real problem. Can't do it either.

Same Here, except I put the GIF files under Palm/Images and the images don't show at all in the Agendus Prefs

My images don't even show in the Agendus prefs, they are GIF's and are under Palm/Images. All are hi-res 320x220 for my CLIE SL10

I have a gif, noninterlaced picture on the SD Card in a Tungsten T and unable to use it as wall paper as well. I have done everything I can think of to the file and it never shows up as wall paper. It does show up in preferences under "wallpaper", but when I click okay it does not show up on the screen.

This was why I paid the upgrade.

Okay I got the GIF backdrops to work - BUT. . .

. . . The page info for Today crashed
- force reset, then left the page corrupted.
This left the Diary entry section of the 'Today'
page completely empty, regardless of how many
entries there were - even the header disappeared.

Only way to fix this was a hard reset and a re-install.
What a JOY - great piece of software you got!

If you want to try - here goes -

01 - Set your image size to 320 x 320 pixels for Clie
or 160 x 160 pixels for low res devices.
02 - Save as a GIF with the following settings.
WEB PALETTE - NO DITHER - ROW ORDER NORMAL
(i.e. with no interlace).
03 - Using MS Import, copy the file to this location -
PALM/Images/
04 - In Agendus, go the pull down menu -
Options - Preferences - then from options in
top right corner pick - wallpaper.
05 - select the image from the list - apply - OK
(if the path is incorrect, click on the directory option
above the Image selection box and find the correct folder).
06 - From the day view menu bar at the bottom of the window
press and hold on the '1' button and a menu should
appear. Click on 'Today'.

Hopefully your today view should appear with image.

***POINTS TO NOTE***

160 x 160 images would not resize to fill screen on my
Clie Hi-Res screen, I had to use 320 x 320.
Which obviously means larger file sizes.

After I had tried this a few times, I noticed that I
could use a selective colour pallet instead of WEB,
but its been hinted that WEB is safer.

The Today page displays only minimal information, like
the number of appointments or to-dos for that day.
It doesn’t show any details for the entry.
WHICH MAKES ME WONDER WHAT THE POINT OF IT IS.

CONCLUSION - DON’T BOTHER WITH THE TODAY VIEW
Its not worth the hassle or memory space involved.
The split screen option is far more informative.

I like the today view but using it with a wallpaper is totally useless. Since you cannot customize the color of the text, the wallpaper, when you are able to get it to show, will make the today view unreadable. The lighter you make the picture, the less you can see the text since most of the words are in grey. I have a color device by the way.

It is a great idea but there are too little options that we the users are able to do with the today page. I am regreting spending $20 dollars on this.

I'm a real novice in this.

I have a Tungsten T. I would love to add wallpaper from photos I have in Splash Photo. I have no idea how to change them to gifs, or how to add them to my memory card!

I managed to put a wall paper in the today view, however it takes forever to display. I use AcidImage to view jpg and takes only a fraction of time to display them, so I think there's still some work to do to improve it.
