View Full Version : Colors for meetings

The colors for meetings on Agendus & Agendus for Windows don't function the same way. For example, in AgendusWin, if I select "white" -- I get black text on a white background. Easy to read. However, when I sync, the white background becomes white text on my Sony Clié. If the ledger bar is also white, the text disappears. I would like to get the same appearance on my PDA and on my desktop.
Also, with the Agendus, I have the option of choosing the color of text for Contacts names in meetings.
I have not found that same option in AgendusWin. Is it there?
Currently, all my contacts show up in blue text.
Regular text automatically adjusts to the background:
black on a light background, or
white on a dark background.
Thanks,
Papa Joe

Have a similar problem - very annoying:
I want all time periods that involve attending lectures to appear as orange blocks in the week block view. I note that I can do this by creating a "uni" meeting category, and set the "uni" category colour to orange in the preferences. This, however, also colours the background on entries in the day view orange.
The big problem with this comes when I access my calendar entries with Agendus for Windows. Here, block colours in the week view are defined by the text colour of entries. Thus, in order to view orange blocks in Windows, the TEXT colour of day view entries must be orange. But, in order to view orange blocks on my palm the BACKGROUND colour of day view entries must also be orange. This means that in order to have any consistency between my palm and desktop calendars, both text and background colours on the palm for the same entry have to be orange = I cannot read any of my entries!!
I don't think there's a solution to this clash yet.

Unfortunately the functionality gap between AGP and AGW is quite large, especially since AGP 8 was released. Iambic is supposedly working on getting AGW up to speed in the next version. Unfortunately they also plan on splitting apart key functionality in AGW Pro and making two separate versions.

sdunnin - I agree with your comments re: compatibilitiy issues between the Palm version and Windows version. These problems bring the product to shame, as I think that the seemless integration of the two is paramount to maintaining any real purpose to the suite. If this cannot be achieved, then the Windows version should be marketed as standalone - rather than duping customers into thinking that the two combined can improve productivity. At the moment, Agendus needs a lot more work to catch up to the integration of Palm desktop and datebook.
