No color in week block for Samsung I300

I don't get color blocks in my Samsung I300 running 5.01 as ilustrated in
http://www.iambic.com/english/palmos/actionnames/feat04.html

I only get gray blocks, as if the program doesn't recognize the I300 as color capable. I can change font colors and see color icons with no problem.

This color in week block mode is based on color selected for text of that meeting entry in color picker on right side of screen just above the description area.

The reason I hadn't noticed is because I use dark shades of colors to get good contrast in my dayly view. In week block view, I get the blocks filled with alternating white pixels and pixels with the color of my font, instead of solid color blocks like the web page shows. Is there an option to select solid color blocks?

There is no way to show solid blocks of color. The checker board pattern is used on both color and b/w devices. The screenshot is accurate, just because it is small I think it may look like they are solid colors but if you look closely you can see that the screenshot is accurate.
