Hi, I love Agendus but also I'm a real newbie at it. Anyway to "permanently" get rid of the split screen ToDo lists?

Thanks,
Patryn

Just helping out.

You mean the Agenda View split screen (left icon).

Left to right the names of the icons..are:

Agenda view
weekly view
monthly view
quarter view
list view
to do view
Contact view

Create button (I forgot what they officially call it) ( if you have a Mail icon, you can disalbr it from showing in the Preference menus)

Show Options button

Today Select button

*******************

Your answer: If you tap out he agenda view icon, you will get a menu: Split, list, Today, Go to date.

Just tap on list.

Your current meetings are listed followed by To Dos.

See my previous note in Feature Requests: Perfect solution for REpeating To Do Weakness

It will give you some ideas. Changing the Todo with ! icons and using Meeting with a common Meeting Icons has helped me a lot in simplifying repeating to dos.

I have been using Agendus now for 60 days plus days. excellent product. You have to use it for a while to see how everything relates to each other.

Quick tips that I can suggest (At least what I have done based from using it and useful suggestions I picked up on this forum:

Quick Tips:
Setup up a category project

Create the following contacts:
Home Project
Work Project
AR Project (Accts. Receivable)
Buy Project

(When you assign To Dos for work at home, you assign it a Home Project contact....then later you can select HOME PROJECT contact and look at the HISTORY and you will get a quick list of your entries....)--just a suggestion.

Use the daily journal...
It is convenient to quick to dos you can document later etc.
I use it to record when I arrive and leave clients for service work.

I recently made the discovery that if you eliminate TODOs from being shown in weekly, monthly, quarter view, it eliminates a lot of clutter and makes those views much more useful.

Action: Show option / select the view on top right that you want to edit / delete Show to DO., etc.

*************************

When you put descriptions for ToDos, Meetings etc, I mentioned to use Noun - Verb (office - call, TV - Fix, VCR - program) format. That shows up better in listings since sometimes the end of sentences are cut off and you can't tell what the item is unless you open it up and view it.

I do not have color (Palm VX) and I miss it buit that is the way it is. Color makes it easy to visually see active past due and so forth...

***************************

I always put a description text in a todo, even though you may assign a contact and you assume that is ok. The reason is explained below.

When you go to History, the to do shows up..that is fine.

BUT if you make a NAME change to the contact, the link is lost between the TWO. The history is LOST. So yo uend up with a TODo with NO INFORMATION. That is why I always put information in the description of a todo. Sometimes you have to find out by BRAILLE (actually do it) to learn your lesson.

Hope this helps....
