I have Agendus 6.02 and Agendus for Windows 1.04. I have downloaded version 2 of Agendus for Windows beta and would like to switch from using Palm Desktop as base for Agendus Standard to using Outlook as it seems to have better features.
Can I do that and how?
Is it advantageous to use Outlook over Palm Desktop as a base for Agendus Standard?
How is it going to react to the multiple e-mails in Outlook (when Palm only accepts one)?
Does anyone know what is going to happen when syncing with my Sony T68i cell phone that is supposed to sync with Outlook?

I hope everything works together very simply but have grown to know it is usually is not as simple as I would hope.

To switch the datasource, go to Preferences | Datasource and switch it to Outlook.

The additional contact fields of Outlook are not currently available in Agendus.

You should set the datasource to Palm Deskto if synching to Palm Desktop or to Outlook if synching to Outlook.

Okay, you got me thinking. (I know this is not "Outlook 101" or a remedial Palm users' course, but this goes with the previous thought.)

It never occurred to me that I could use Outlook's system under Agendus. All my appointments, contacts, and todos are in Palm Desktop, but I have to use Outlook for email for work.

Is there a way to move all info, en masse, from Palm Desktop to Outlook?

I love Agendus for Windows ("AFW"). I'm a registered owner of AFW Standard. I'm currently beta testing v2 (build 674). There are still a few things I like better about the Plam Desktop ("PD") software, so once in a while I quit AFW and use PD, the quit PD and return to AFW. In addition, I use Outlook Exchange at work (same laptop as AFW) for email and my work calendar (no choice, meetings are scheduled that way).

Here's my question: If I upgrade to AFW Pro, will I be able to switch back and forth between AFW Pro, Outlook Exchange and PD, like I do now? And, can I configure AFW Pro so only calendar information is exchanged with Outlook Exchange? I don't really want my entire to-do list and all my memos going into our corporate systems.

Any thoughts? Or pointers to where this is answered?

I'm downloading the AFW Pro demo now, to try the above, but would appreciate any insight.

Hi

VWalker,
There are probably other ways to move your data en masse from PD to Outlook. One way is to install a conduit to outlook for your Palm then hotsync since all of your data in Palm Desktop is (I assume) on your Palm as well, then that data will get merged with your existing Outlook data. Then in Agendus for Windows set the data source to Outlook.

rman666,
In Preferences | Datasource you'll see that you can set Agendus to read all data from PD, or all data from Outlook, or Mixed where you choose the datasource for meetings, to dos & calls, and contacts separately.

Yes you'll want to use the Pro version since that supports Exchange.

Yes you can change datasources within Agendus as often as you want.
