I don't see any reason for your site (or any other) to reload itself when I hit the Back button to go to the previous location in my browser.

I had just linked over to show your product offerings off to an associate of mine because I'm a big ActionNames fan. He left my office and (after closing all the additional browser windows your site opens) I hit the Back button to get back to what I was doing previously. Sorry, can't go there... you have to look Iambic's home page again.

This is rude behavior for a web site. Why do you think it's important to force your page back into my browser when I attempt to leave?

Hello Bryan,

actually there is a reason for this behaviour... our websites are mostly backed by databases, which store their contents.

On some pages hitting the back button forces the previous page to connect to the server and get its content from the database.

This is especially true for example for this forum.
