Whether or not the "Settings" preference is toggled to "Send immediately when connected," the Treo resets immediately upon tapping the send tile. The messages are then stored in the Outbox and send normally when the send/receive tile is tapped.
However, after sending/receiving using that tile (whether or not anything is in the Outbox), the little icon of the envelope disappears along with the tile itself. One can still send/recieve by tapping the blank space on the screen where the tile used to be, and the drop down menu still works, but the graphics are buggy.
