I'm pleased to announce that
Agendus will soon be available for the Windows Mobile platform, which is why you now see a brand new forums section, with a couple of subforums, this "beta program" being one of them.
Given the increasing popularity of Windows Mobile powered devices, given the requests from users we have been receiving in the past few months, we just couldn't resist to the temptation of having some fun (well -- for the most part at least
) with the latest development toys from Microsoft and put together a brand new version of Agendus.
Here I'll answer some of the questions I'm sure might come up after reading what above. If you have any other question, concern, suggestion, wish, etc., you are encouraged to share it with us in the "
Feature Requests & Suggestions" area.
Q: Is there going to be a public beta?
A: Yes, which is why we have this forum here called "beta program"
Q: Can I participate in the beta, and how can I be notified when it will be available?
A: Of course you can, to be notified automatically

Q: When will the beta start?
A: On or before mid December
Q: Is Agendus for Windows Mobile going to have all the features present on Palm and Windows Desktop counterparts?
A: Version 1.0 will have already a good amount of functionality (including category colors, pictures, icons, custom edit dialogs), and will bring over the paradigm of usability, simplicity, smoothness and UI pleasantness which characterizes Agendus across all platforms. Moving forward we'll keep migrating functionality as meaningful and enhancing it with novel features as we constantly do with our other Agenduses.
Q: Is Agendus for Windows Mobile going to be available also for WM Smartphone?
A: Yes, but a bit later. The first beta program will be for WM Pocket PC kind of devices (i.e. all handhelds and smartphones with touch screen), while the version for WM Smartphone (i.e. the smartphones without touch screen) will come up afterwards.
Q: Are there going to be multiple editions like with Agendus Palm?
A: Yes, we are planning for a Standard and Professional Edition
Q: What is going to be the price of Agendus for Windows Mobile?
A: We are currently defining it, and it will be aligned with what are the industry averages for these kind of applications.
Q: Are there going to be discounts or special offers for users migrating from Agendus Palm or other similar products to Agendus for Windows Mobile?
A: Yes, as for the pricing this is being defined. We are planning for special incentives available to Agendus Palm customers and possibly competitive upgrades for customers coming over from other solutions.
Q: Will I be able to buy Agendus for Windows Mobile during the beta program or will I have to wait till the release?
A: We are planning to make Agendus for Windows Mobile available for purchase around the same time the beta program starts. As a reward for the fearless users deciding to embrace a beta there is going to be a deep discount on the final MSRP. Which means, buying it early will be a one-time deal ending when the product is officially launched out of beta.
Q: OK now I'm really intrigued! Can I have a peek of how it's going to look like?
A: Absolutely, as they say a picture is worth 1,000 words, so there you go below with a few screenshots. Please note that these represent the current status of the UI, which is currently undergoing further refinements and adjustments.
