Agendus for Palm OS version 10.0: new feature list and tour

Hi All,

please find below the list of new features which will see the light in the upcoming version 10.

Also attached to this thread the Agendus Tour application. It's a quick tour designed for Treo 650, Treo 600, LifeDrive, Tunsten T5 and Tungsten E2 showcasing features, usage tips and reference material. Unzip, hotsync the 2 prc in main memory, tap on "Agendus Tour".

Major New Features

- Trip Wizard: new functionality allowing to create, track progress and manage trips [PRO ONLY]
- Web Style Hyperlinks on web, email addresses and phone numbers, with tap and hold multi-menu support
- Glance @ Agenda featuring new card style dialogs for Meetings, calls and tasks to enhance readability and navigation
- Contact networking functionality: all new capability allowing connecting contacts to one another and name these types of relationships, new relationship types can be created too
- Year Mode Calendar: new view calendar style showing a full year
- All New Toolbar: icon-clustered with signal indicator on smartphones
- Voice recording and sketching: new capability to quickly add hand drawings and recording to meetings, tasks and memos [PRO ONLY]
- Save current view functionality: saves the currently selected filtering and show options for quick retrieval
- New Set Time Dialog: completely redesigned, now much more usable and dpad friendly
- New Alarm Popup Dialog: added numerous UI improvements and functionality refinements
- Alarms on Memos: now also memos allows for alarms alarms
- Cropping in Photo picker: images can now be cropped directly in the Agendus image picker
- Anonymous Call Support: new functionality available on smartphones
- Memo View Quick Search: added title bar search capability in the memo view

Major New Over The Air related features

- Driving Directions via web browser [PRO ONLY]
- Check For Program Updates functionality, with direct update download capability
- Auto Update Capability allows the user to select when and how often refresh over the air data (weather, quotes, etc.) [PRO ONLY]
- This Day In History functionality provides a set of events occurred in the past on today’s date [PRO ONLY]
- Address Lookup & Update functionality allows for verifying, searching and updating contact information [PRO ONLY]

Improvements and Refinements

- Today view: new task complete-in-place functionality allows for quickly checking off tasks directly in the doday view
- Vivid Agenda: apply rules to existing items functionality, for setting color and icon on calendar, task, note and memo items at once
- Power Search: added smart tag exclude capability (will ignore Agendus’ specific tags in items' note)
- Week view Block Mode and Month view Standard Mode: numerous UI improvements
- Contact history: added preference to show last instance or every instance of repeating events
- Enhanced address mapping: added "map address" button in alarm dialog and other dialogs whenever a contact is linked to an item [PRO ONLY]
- Dpad navigation: implemented numerous consistency improvements through the application
- Pictures on items: added direct camera control on Treo 650 devices
- Introduced support for table highlight system on Treo 650, Tungesten T5, LifeDrive and latest Palm devices
- Menus: improved labels consistency for easier navigation
- Matrix mode icon on task items now visible in all views
- Weather forecast icon added in month related views
- Terminology consistency: renamed "calls" to "phone calls"
- Improved graffiti shortcuts character mapping with shortcut letters also recognized as hotkeys and key types (on select smartphones)
- Added "new SMS" in Menu -> record [PRO ONLY]

New Preferences, and Preference related improvements

- Preferences: improved view specific/global wallpaper management
- Preferences: added dpad support
- Preferences: new preference to customize in which day the week grid 5 starts
- To-do view list mode: edit in place functionality is now a preference
- Task preferences and show options: improved consistency with the rest of the prefs for ease of use
- Fonts preferences: added possibility to apply the same font to all views at onces
- Preferences: added options to select default browser and map provider
- Preferences: possibility to activate the "new" toolbar item using the keyboard's spacebar key
- Preferences: task related preferences consolidation
- Today view: added preference to turn off tomorrow's meetings in the related slot
